08/03/2023 American Legion Great Lakes Regional (Region 5) - Day 1

The official stats - These are important because they are included in determining post-season American Legion Baseball awards (so mine are worthless, but I like to keep my own book and will use them when I have them!).

Disclaimers:

(1) I only saw games 1 & 2 - games 3 & 4 I taking from the “Official” American Legion Box Scores;

(2) There was a heavy rain about 8am (as I was driving in) and “drying out” the field postponed Game 1 (9:30am) to a little after 11am.

(3) I hope to return Friday and / or Saturday (Sunday?).

(4) It is interesting that a state like Michigan who touts thermselves as a “vacation” destination has so many major highways with summer construction zones at the same time. I hope when all the roads are “fixed” there is an equal effort to keep them in good shape.
