2018 American Legion Baseball World
Series -
Thursday 08/16 - Midland Berryhill
Post 165 had a four-run sixth inning to pull away from Randolph
County (NC) Post 45 for a 7-2 win in their first game at the 2018
American Legion Baseball World Series. Garrett Willis (Midland
HS/2018 - Central Michigan) went 6-1/3 innings (leaving due to pitch
count limits) giving up two runs (earned), five hits, three walks,
six strikeouts and two hit-by-pitch and Seth Gower (Bay City
Western/2018 - Lansing CC) finished the game. Bryce Marsh of Randolph
County Post 45 went 5-1/3 innings and took the loss (5 runs / 3
earned, 6 hits, 1 walk, 3K, 4-HBP). For Midland Berryhill Post 165
Adam Randall (Bay City Western/2019) had two hits (double) and an
RBI; Martin Money (Midland HS/2018 - Saginaw Valley) had two hits and
an RBI; Brandon Smith (Saginaw Heritage/2018 - Jackson College) had
one hit and two RBI; Tyler David (Bay City Western/2018 - Lansing CC)
and Logan LaCourse ( Bay City Western/2018 - Lansing CC) both had one
hit and one RBI; Zach Nelson (Midland Dow/2018) and Seth Gower both
had one hit. Midland Berryhill Post 165 is next scheduled to play on
Saturday (08/18) against Las Vegas (NV) Post 40.
