In Ohio Region 1 Ottawa Post 63 defeated Pemberville Post 183 on Saturday to win the Region championship outright.  Ottawa will advance to the state tournament, while Pemberville will play a "play in" game against Chillicothe Post 757 (2nd place in Region 3) to see who will play in the State tournament.

In Michigan Big Rapids Post 98 defeated Bay City Post 18 on Saturday - both teams have one loss - and it appears that they will not play the "championship" game since both will advance to the State tournament.

*Jim's unofficial observations - Blissfield Post 325 defeated Adrian Post 275 the “old fashioned way” - “get them on, jet them over and get them in”. Gabe Jones' double brought in Blissfield's first run in the first inning. Two Adrian errors and a double-steal with runners on 1st and 3rd earned Blissfield their second run. A walk, wild pitch and a 2-out single provided the third run. Ryan Seiler started for Blissfield and went six innings for the win, allowing no runs and stranding eight Adrian runners. Sean Langton pitched the seventh inning allowing one run and earned a “save”. Sean Parker went six innings for Adrian allowing three runs (2 earned) on four hits. Max Bledsoe had two hits and drove in Adrian's run, Nik Shadley and Jordan Illenden also had two hits.
